Description:

Teacher - English, 1 FTE

Job Summary:

The Junior High Teacher is responsible for providing engaging, developmentally appropriate, and content-rich instruction to students in grades 7-8 in the Lakota Local School District.

This role supports student growth across academic, social, and emotional domains while fostering a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment. The teacher designs and implements lessons aligned with Ohio Learning Standards, differentiates instruction for diverse learners, and facilitates critical thinking, problem-solving, and personal development among students during this transitional stage of education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education; valid Ohio K-8, 1-8, 4-9 or 7-12 Language Arts teaching license.

Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and staff.

Effective classroom management strategies that promote engagement and productivity.

Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction and assessment.

Adaptability in adjusting instruction to meet student needs and learning styles.

Working Conditions:

7.75 hours per day, 184 days per school year calendar.
