Location: Pittsburg, CA - Serving Contra Costa County
Pay: $35.25 per hour for Associates registered with BBS; $40.25 per hour for Licensed Clinicians
Hours: Monday - Friday: 9am-4:30pm (hours may vary dependent on caseload)
At VistAbility's Lynn Center we provide therapy services for children ages 0–6 and extend support to the family unit, including children up to age 18 and adults. As a trauma‑informed, family‑centered program, we are committed to helping children and families heal, grow, and thrive.
The Child & Family Therapist plays a key role in delivering compassionate mental health support to children and families in clinic, home, and community settings throughout Contra Costa County. Services include clinical assessments, individual play therapy, family therapy, parent coaching, and case management.
This role requires flexibility, travel, and a strong commitment to collaborative, individualized care. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, adaptable, and dedicated to making a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Need
Associate-Level Candidate Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field
Registered as an Associate (ASW, AMFT, or APCC) with the California BBS
Licensed Candidates Requirements:
Licensed as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in good standing with the licensing board
General Requirements
Valid California driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
Comfortable providing therapy in clinic, home, school, and community settings with travel
Open to a range of treatment modalities to meet diverse client needs
Strong verbal/written communication and collaboration skills
Team-oriented and flexible in working with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Experience
Working with children under 6, particularly those with trauma, emotional, or behavioral challenges
Case management, in-home services, outpatient play therapy, family counseling, group work
Familiarity with Medi-Cal documentation and billing
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
