Where You Will Work
The Transplant and Cellular Therapy Administration Department at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute is a nationally recognized program that provides comprehensive care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants (BMT) and cellular therapies, including CAR T-cell therapy and Donor Lymphocyte Infusions (DLI).
We’re Looking For
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
BSN Degree Required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire/transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment.
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state in which one works required.
Oncology experience required.
Three (3) years of Nursing experience required.
What You’ll Do
The RN Transplant is a professional registered nurse and a designated member of the transplant team who provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader.
The RN works with patients and their families beginning with the evaluation and will continue through the transplant process. The RN assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The RN maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served. A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
Interprets eligibility criteria to identify high-risk recipients and donors; schedules appropriate consultations to ensure all health needs are met prior to transplant. Communicates eligibility with multidisciplinary team.
Coordinates procurement of donor cells/organs while complying with HIPPA standards.
