Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12.0
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while adhering to the highest standards of patient and employee safety.
Responsibilities
Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to create an individualized plan of care.
Identify patient teaching needs and goals based on nursing assessments and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Provide timely patient information and status updates for team conferences and ensure accurate documentation of all assessments and interventions.
Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and apply the nursing process effectively to achieve quality outcomes.
Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
Communicate pertinent information regarding patient status changes to ensure continuity of care and safety.
Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel and promote a positive work environment.
Assume charge responsibilities as requested and maintain open communication with management regarding service needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
Previous inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
Schedule
This position involves a night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three times a week.
