Palliative Care Physician
This fixed‑term position is for a board‑certified or board‑eligible Hospice/Palliative Medicine physician. The role focuses on inpatient palliative care consultation at a >600‑bed adult hospital in collaboration with a fully staffed interprofessional team, including spiritual care, social work, and nursing. The physician will also provide service coverage at community hospitals (Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center and Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center), oversee teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, and pursue scholarly interests. Outpatient palliative clinic participation is optional and dependent on the candidate’s interests and skills.

Must possess an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
Board certification or eligibility in Hospice/Palliative Medicine
Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license
