One-on-One Assistant
Staff Required Day:
July 2, 2026
Student/Staff Days:
July 6 - August 7, 2026
The One-on-One Assistant is assigned to provide support for a child who requires assistance throughout the day. The assistant is a non-certificated staff member who assists students under the direction of classroom teachers and/or certified staff to promote the student’s academic achievement, behavioral growth, socio‑emotional relationships, and personal development. The assistant must adapt to the particular educational/therapeutic needs of the student(s).
Physical Requirements
The employee must demonstrate physical strength, agility, and energy to perform essential job functions and to ensure health, welfare, and safety of all students and of self. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of the job: sitting, standing, reaching, walking, lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity, carrying, repetitive motions, speaking, listening, and visual acuity. The employee must lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds.

Citizenship, residency or work visa required
Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
Required criminal history background check
Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
