is currently seeking an experienced Operations professional to join our team in Hampton, Virginia. As a Lead Team Partner, you will transform ideas into sustainable value by leading activities and supporting plant/location teams to achieve manufacturing excellence.

Job Summary

Devises, selects, sets up, and operates electronic instrumentation and related electromechanical or electrohydraulic apparatus used for operation and environmental testing of mechanical, structural, or electrical equipment, and translates test data for engineering personnel by performing the following duties. Performs PLC troubleshooting on control systems to quickly identify and resolve PLC faults.

Note: This position is on a 2nd shift schedule (Mon - Fri, 3pm - 11:30pm)

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Read and follow information on work instructions.

Record data either manually or by computer as required.

Select, install, calibrate, and check sensing, telemetering, and recording instrumentation and circuitry, and develop specifications for non‑standard apparatus.

Troubleshoot control logic through PLC interface using software to isolate and repair fault conditions.

Install or direct technical personnel in installation of units in test chambers or other facilities.

Conduct preventive maintenance on automation equipment, including sensors, actuators, and motor drives.

Document troubleshooting steps, corrective actions, and system changes for future reference.

Operate test apparatus during test cycles to produce, regulate, and record effects of actual or simulated conditions such as vibration, stress, temperature, humidity, pressure, altitude, and acceleration.

Analyze and convert test data to usable form and prepare graphs and written reports to translate test results. Plan test programs.

Use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce graphs.

Comply with all attendance policies, including regular attendance and occasional overtime.

Skills and Abilities

Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.

Apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, permutations, and use them for tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability, variance analysis, correlation, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle abstract and concrete variables.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

High school Diploma or GED.

Minimum of 5 years industrial or manufacturing experience.

Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Export‑controlled items: Applicant must be able to lawfully obtain access to such items.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
