Role: SR. Redhat Linux System Administrator
( Note: Need prior Bank of America contractor with at least 1 years experience
or Wells Fargo (whose project is going to end and has the end date)
Location: Plano, TX, Richmond, VA, and Chandler, AZ.
Client is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX, Richmond, VA and Chandler, AZ. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Perform triage of business impacted incidents, restore incidents to meet service level agreement
Duties include 9x5 incident support, triage LEAPP upgrade failures, rollback of LEAPP upgrade root cause analysis, and escalation of critical issues, execution of scheduled activities
Requirements:
Must be able to work one day per weekend on a rotational basis
12+ years of Hands-on experience supporting Red Hat Linux (6/7/8/9)
Experience on supporting Client, Dell x86 hardware platform
Experience on supporting LEAPP in-place upgrade
Strong experience in Redhat Linux System Administration, Hardware Troubleshooting, configuration, and performance monitoring and tuning experience
Solid troubleshooting skills to triage with different technology partners
Good communication skills - audience centric and adjustment to different audience levels
Understanding of SAN/NAS technology and experience to support server-side related issue
Understanding of TCP/IP and ability to troubleshoot latency or performance issue
RedHat Cluster Services Certification
Experience managing a large global environment consisting of 55,000 or more Linux virtual servers
Understand and follow the ITIL incident/change/problem management process
Desired skills:
Experience supporting LVM
Experience in supporting DMZ environment and familiar with IPsec
