FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Integration Engineer to work as part of the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Technology organization. In this role, you will play a critical part in building and implementing MuleSoft-based integration solutions for our Investment Data Platform and supporting the launch of a new Derivatives Platform. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in API development, cloud platforms, and integration frameworks to contribute to a long-term strategic initiative to unify and harmonize investment data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, and implement scalable API services using MuleSoft to connect internal investment
systems with the Investment Data Platform.
• Collaborate with investment business systems analysts & technology teams to gather business
requirements and translate them into technical integration solutions.
• Build and maintain critical APIs to support the new Derivatives Platform, ensuring seamless integration with
other enterprise systems.
• Leverage your expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) to modernize and optimize MuleSoft-based
integration infrastructure.
• Partner with the EDM Technology team and key stakeholders to foster a collaborative and efficient integration
environment.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability and performance
of all APIs.
• Champion the adoption of best practices in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps
principles to ensure continuous delivery and improvement of integration solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Holds a Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Possesses 5-8 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying API integrations within the financial
services industry.
• Has a proven record of working with financial data, including instruments, transactions, and positions.
• Demonstrates expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API design, development, and
management.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps principles.
• Is proficient in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript and has experience with REST and
SOAP APIs.
• Has experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understands integration patterns for cloud[1]native environments.
• Possesses a strong understanding of data modeling concepts and data transformation techniques (e.g.,
JSON, XML, XSLT).
• Thrives in a collaborative work environment and enjoys fast-paced, result-oriented settings.
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse
stakeholders.
GOOD TO HAVE:
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
• Experience working with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI for API-driven data visualizations.
• Experience with API security frameworks (e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
