Now Hiring a Grinder Operator For a Great Company in Hudson, OH!
Responsible for setting up and operating centerless grinding machines used for grinding the outside diameters of metal parts.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Monitors machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary; Stop machine when problems occur.
Set-up and operates centerless grinders to grind metal work pieces.
Operates centerless grinders to grind metal work pieces and place them in boxes or on racks; set aside pieces that are defective.
Selects and mounts grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications, using hand tools and knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures.
Performs basic maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machine parts.
Removes and replace worn or broken machine parts, using hand tools.
Computes numbers, widths, and angles of cutting tools, micrometers, scales, and gauges and adjust tools to produce specified cuts.
Preferred Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and a good understanding of math and measurements.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Effective communication and people skills.
Strong diligence.
Excellent mechanical skills.
Ability to work with precision and accuracy.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Schedule
7:00am - 3:30pm [Monday - Friday]
Pay
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour [Weekly Pay]
