
Bookkeeper

Responsibilities
Capture and maintain accurate financial transactions, expense tracking, and document filing
Assist with accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, reconciliations, and full payment processing
Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Handle financial data entry and maintain organised record‑keeping systems
Support payroll preparation for South Africa and Namibia
Assist with financial reporting, including expense schedules and management reports
Prepare and organise documentation for VAT submissions and refunds
Support audits, year‑end processes, and general accounting administration
Process payments, transfers, petty cash, and card transactions via online banking platform
Qualifications
Diploma in Bookkeeping or related field advantageous; candidates qualified by experience will be considered
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a bookkeeping role (property industry experience advantageous)
Knowledge of Workmen’s Compensation submissions, EMP501, EMP201 returns, and VAT calculations beneficial
Solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
Proficiency in Sage Pastel or similar accounting systems
Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
Good literacy and excellent numeracy skills
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Good organisational and time management abilities
Ability to work independently and be self‑motivated
Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
