Construction Operator

Description
An Operator drives, maneuvers, and controls heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, cranes, excavators, and graders, to build roads, buildings and infrastructure. Key duties include conducting pre-operation inspections, performing daily maintenance, maneuvering materials, and following strict safety regulations to prevent accidents. They work in various weather conditions, often digging, grading, and moving earth on busy, loud sites.
Education
Previous experience operating heavy equipment.
A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and relevant OSHA safety certifications
Qualifications
Ability to work in challenging environments (mud, dust, noise) and lift heavy objects.
Strong hand-eye coordination.
Communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Grand Portage requires a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing for all positions. American Indian Preference will apply.
