Program Specialist 2
Position Title: Program Specialist 2 (37095) – (26141134)
This Program Specialist position oversees one or more of the evidence‑based home visiting models within the Healthy Montana Families Home Visiting Program. The program specialist develops and administers statewide public health programs in response to state needs and federal grant solicitations.
Responsibilities
Develop evidence-based public health policies and interventions.
Develop and implement health surveillance and data collection systems to track, analyze, and evaluate programs and services.
Coordinate program strategic planning and facilitate stakeholder groups.
Plan and coordinate program outreach, training, and support.
Qualifications
Knowledge of public health program management principles and practices.
Knowledge of public health interventions and quality improvement.
General knowledge of federal and state laws related to grants and contracts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in public health, public administration, health education, early childhood development/education or other behavioral or social science related field.
Two years of job‑related public health program experience including contracts and direct training experience.
Experience evaluating, developing, and writing grant responses preferred.
Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
