$61,909 to $77,379 per year
JOBSUMMARY
TheGeneral Ledger Accountantperformsa variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with significant focus ongeneralledger accounting. This positionis responsible forsupporting the Director of Finance in conducting key activities such asmonth-end andquarter-end close,grant accounting,fixedassets,accountreconciliationsandaudits.
EDUCATION ANDQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’sdegree in accounting/finance/business administrationor equivalent experience
At least fiveyearsofaccrual basisaccounting
Experiencein healthcare setting withnonprofit and grant experience preferred
Strong understanding of debits/credits and accounting principals
Demonstrated knowledge ofmonth-end close process
Strong acuity infinancial systems,database management,andcustomreport writing
Maintain highly confidential information
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Highly organizedanddetail oriented
Self-motivated, teamplayer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks during peak periods
Must have intermediate-advanced level Excel skills
Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in office and remote settings
Must possess a valid driver's license, provide proof of insurance (a copy of your "Declarations Page" indicatingyou have $100k/$300k Bodily Injury/$100k Property Damage coverage) and have reliable transportation
Must comply withagency health screening and immunization requirements
Successfully pass agencyrequiredbackground checks
PRIMARY DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare journal entriesfor multiple business unitsandservice lines
Preformmonth-end closing functions
Preparemonthlyaccount reconciliations
Track andmonitorallowable uses of grant funds
Review and approve disbursement batches
Aggregate and prepare statistical reporting
Assistwith audits
Custom report writingusing financial system database
Perform variance analysis of business transactions
Maintains files and recordspertaining tothe function
Preforms other duties as assigned by Director of Finance
