Job Summary
Southwest Healthcare is seeking a Full‑Time Sr Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring proper recording of financial transactions, reconciling subsidiary ledgers, and preparing complex financial statements and reports. The position will be located at our Southwest Regional Office supporting the Accounting functions for multiple facilities across the Region.
Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy of entries to the general ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts.
Maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses.
Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
Assist with training of department team members as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required.
Three (3) to Five (5) years of accounting experience required; healthcare accounting experience preferred.
CPA or other professional certification preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of The Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
Compliance with healthcare policies and procedures at all times.
Ability to set priorities, organize workload, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
Capacity to relate to clinical personnel, medical staff, and the public.
Knowledge of PC applications and accounting principles.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
Confidentiality and judgment in all situations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and other systems such as SMS and AS400.
