Rewind Operator - Flexible Packaging (PM - 2C Shift) - Plant 3
Belmark is seeking a Rewind Operator to run our world-class equipment and produce high quality products in a timely fashion for our customers. In this role, you will rewind labels from press rolls to smaller rolls according to customer specifications, inspect labels for quality, complete the appropriate paperwork, and may bundle or fanfold labels as required. Our operators work in a friendly environment with the potential to grow within the company.
Schedule:
PM shift hours are from 4:00 P.M. to 4:00 A.M. with a 3 days on / 4 days off schedule.
12‑hour shifts with consistent hours, no swing shift.
Many employees enjoy the rotating shift for the time off available, allowing time for home and family activities.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
The hourly rate is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials.
Shift differential for the PM shift is $2.00 per hour.
What will I do in this role?
Follow all safety procedures and nurture a food safety culture by adhering to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
Set up the rewind machine.
Calculate the number of labels needed per roll or bundle.
Rewind labels according to job instructions, meeting minimum operating standards.
Inspect for and remove defective labels.
Identify product with accurate information.
Complete necessary paperwork, including packing slips.
Keep the work area and machine clean and organized.
May bundle or fanfold labels.
May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
Ability to set up and operate a rewind machine using tools such as a ruler, calculator, Allen wrench and screwdriver.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
Vision: can see clearly at 20 inches or less; identify and distinguish colors; observe an area up/down or left/right while eyes are fixed.
Physical: stand 75% of work time; stoop, kneel or crouch 20%; walk 5% of time.
Use hands 100% of work time; use feet to operate machines 50% of time.
Lift: 10 pounds or less 60% of work time; 25 pounds or less 25% of work time; 50 pounds or less 15% of work time.
May be asked to lift up to 70 pounds or more.
