QA Analyst / Tester . This position is fully remote.
We are seeking a Senior QA Tester to support a large-scale Foster Care and Adoption system. This role is focused on hands-on software testing to ensure the quality and reliability of applications supporting foster care, adoption, and social services programs.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Perform functional, regression, and data testing for system enhancements and releases.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to review and validate requirements for testability and completeness.
Document defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected versus actual results, and business impact.
Retest fixes to confirm defects are resolved correctly.
Communicate testing status, risks, blockers, and release readiness to stakeholders.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, vendor teams, and leadership.
Support primarily manual testing, with some exposure to automation where applicable.
Required Qualifications.
Experience in manual QA or software testing.
Ability to create and execute test cases from requirements or user stories.
Experience with defect tracking and validation.
Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications.
Familiarity with SDLC and or DevOps environments.
Experience with Microsoft tools and environments.
Exposure to government, social services systems, or legacy applications.
Experience with TWIST or similar systems is a plus.
