The Family Services Support Branch is seeking an experienced

IT Application Tester

to support a largescale IT system used across statewide Foster Care and Adoption programs. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage deadlines, and the independence to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Assurance
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and data testing for Foster Care and Adoption applications.
Validate system functionality against user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Document defects, track resolutions, and verify fixes.
Collaboration & Requirements Support

Work with TWIST Business Analysts to review and clarify user requirements.
Participate in requirement walkthroughs, design discussions, and sprint activities.
Identify requirement gaps and assess impacts to existing functionality.
Release & Maintenance Support

Support scheduled releases, emergency fixes, and ongoing maintenance cycles.
Conduct regression testing and environment readiness checks.
Assist with data validation and DevOps testing activities.
Recommend improvements to testing processes and documentation.
Preferred Experience

Knowledge of the

SDLC

and structured testing methodologies.
Experience with

DevOps practices , CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Ability to write or refine

user stories

and acceptance criteria.
Proficiency with

Microsoft tools

(Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Excel, Teams).
Familiarity with

DCBS policies

or the

TWIST application

is a plus.
