## Description**Position Summary:** The Regional Manager in training has proven they are responsible for overseeing the operations of store or multiple stores. The RM in training will learn and train for the position of Regional manager and will need to excel in this role. The Regional Manager in Training primary responsibility is driving results for store growth and collections. The RM-in-training is able identify talent through recruiting and interviews, able to fully execute EMI events, help RM’s identify talent with current to travel to all regions as needed, effectively communicate with executive management, verify/submit promotions and increases by the RM staff.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

Management Accountabilities:

• A Regional Manager in training is expected to not only effectively manage their assigned stores but are ready and able to take on more responsibility in different areas and projects that are assigned to them. They are able to delegate to ensure they produce exceptional results in a time manner.

• Train to hold directly accountable for the performance of the assigned locations and employees including but not limited to: overall growth and collection goals set for assigned stores, competent store employees that are able to complete next level job requirements, exceptional store appearance, ensuring polices are being followed (compliance, internal audits).

• Train in coaching and counseling employees to ensure they are able to perform the expected job duties in an exceptional manner, creating results. RM will focus on employees who meet and exceed expectations while working to document substandard performing employees.

• Train to identify talent in the stores that are capable to move into next level positions and implement a plan to fast track proven performing employees.

• Train in designing and implementing a strategic growth plan that will expand the company/region’s base and ensure long term location presence in the community.

• Suggest possible new locations where company presence might not be as saturated, as well as suggest location moves to prime area/shopping centers/strip malls/end caps.

• Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products offered by competitors and competition status.

• Train to work cohesively with other Regional Managers to ensure every area of opportunity is explored to maximize company profits and successful running stores.

• Achieve sales objectives through effective leadership in recruiting, hiring, firing, coaching, counseling, communicating job expectations, and monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures as needed to store staff and management.

• Train to submit on-time weekly updates that focus on numerical results from the previous week as well as individual time spent with managers/employee’s and general information that should be reported to next level supervisors and managers.

• Ability to identify overall store performance areas of opportunity by reviewing growth, collections, and audit data.

• Focus on creating a positive and cohesive environment that rewards positive behavior and identifies areas of substandard performance.

• Train in the manage and upgrade personnel through recruiting, promotion, identification of potential leaders, and enforcing performance standards.

• Ensure stores maintain compliance policies and procedures as well as delivering acceptable internal audit scores.

• Train to follow up on stores using internal reports, and account review.

• Train in hiring/recruiting.

Training Accountabilities:

• Teaching and following up on employee’s that are expected to build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.

• Train to lead Store Managers to become a self-sufficient professional group that is able to problem solve by using resources provided to them by their RM.

• Conduct regular store visits that focus on performance of the location and professional growth of the employee.

• Ensure employees have the training necessary to confidently offer DLC products to customers, and answer customer questions accurately.

• Reinforce and support corporate policies and guidelines in a consistent, professional manner.

• Communicate with Regional Managers on follow-up training or standard training at the request of Regional Manager (pre-scheduled).

• Select appropriate teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, visual aids, and reference works.

• Monitor and evaluate training results through individual and store performance and develop programs to resolve any results that are determined to be substandard.

• Track training efforts to using a standard Regional Manager training tracker as well formal and informal employee acknowledge through confirming emails and/or signed acknowledgement forms.

Marketing Accountabilities:

• The RMIT is responsible for store marketing initiatives at the operations level. Marketing events require proper planning and execution to ensure the highest return. The RMIT will oversee these events and make sure operations is seeking out events that will be successful and bring in new business. This requires the following:

• Communicating with RM’s & cs to have their stores search for EMI events in their areas.

• Review submitted events to see if it’s a good fit for the company to attend.

• Compile submitted events and submit to marketing with a deadline to have it reviewed and or approved or denied. This requires the RM to ensure they are following up with the Marketing Manager.

• Work with each RM on events for their region on calendaring the event, and staffing (staffing needs to be approved by RM to ensure the best EMI Employees are attending).

• Ensue store has submitted tickets in a timely manner to have marketing supplies dropped off.

• Verify with RM/Store supplies ready to go.

• Periodically attend events to ensure they are running smoothly.

• Give feedback to marketing on event and the outcome.

• Create/upkeep a tracker with all events approved/denied/participated in with feedback.

Other:

• Manage confidential information.

• Regular and consistent attendance.

**Abilities:**

Requires the ability to gather and analyze facts, to devise solutions to problems, to prepare clear and concise reports, follow instructions, attention to details and to perform with a high level of accuracy, completeness, and legal compliance. Ability to work in a team environment; work effectively with others, provide effective client service and public relations, display strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, organize, prioritize, research, and plan. Ability to correctly interpret, explain and apply policies and procedures, understand, and follow oral and written instructions, ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; ability to interact with a variety of individuals from socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds in sensitive or difficult situations.
