Job Description
The ESY Program runs from July 6 – July 31, 2026.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 – 11:30 AM.
Location: Oxford Middle School; services students Grades PK–12.
Rate: $50 per hour.
Qualifications
Must be an RN.
Licensed by the State of Connecticut Department of Health.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to assess and evaluate health status of each student, make nursing diagnoses and establish health plans.
Ability to interpret health status and medical findings to student, parent, and staff.
Ability to recommend modifications to the educational program due to health changes.
Excellent communication skills to serve as liaison between parents, school, and community.
Knowledge and experience in performing health screenings.
Ability to observe students to detect health problems/issues.
Excellent organizational skills to maintain cumulative health records.
Ability to render emergency care to a student or staff member when injured or ill.
Ability to review and recommend revisions in school nursing policies and procedures.
