
Charge Nurse / RN Cardiac Telemetry

Responsibilities
The Charge Nurse is a registered nurse professional who assumes responsibility for the direction and coordination of all day‑to‑day functions in the unit on their designated shifts.
In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
They are responsible for the supervision of assigned nursing and unit‑based personnel to provide a safe, caring environment for patients, family, and staff which fosters professional nursing practice, shared decision making, inter‑professional teamwork and collaboration with positive patient and staff outcomes.
They assist the Nursing Manager/Director in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and monitoring policies and procedures, allocation of resources, quality/performance improvement initiatives, educational programs and shared governance councils to achieve departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
Provides direct nursing care as needed.
Qualifications
A graduate of an accredited nursing school.
Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Must obtain and maintain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
Two to five years of clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
BSN.
Med/Surg experience.
Experience in patient care management.
Charge nurse experience.
