Primary Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in response to the planned expansion of our infusion center hours. This position is essential to supporting increased patient volume and ensuring consistent, high-quality outpatient care for patients and families. The APP will play a key role in overseeing patient safety, coordinating timely evaluations and interventions, and improving access to care during extended infusion hours.
This is a per diem role. The APP will work Saturday and Sundays 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
Salary: $98.95/hourly.
Job Qualifications
Successful completion of a Master’s Degree or higher in an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a specialty in Pediatrics,
Acute Care - Required
CA NP, NPF, and CA RN license - Required
NPI #, DEA # - Required
National Certification in Nurse Practitioner Specialty as an Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Required
BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - Required
PALS certification from American Heart Association - Required
3 years Acute Pediatric NP experience - Required
3 years Pediatric Oncology NP experience - Strongly preferred
Ability to utilize Excel, Word and other software programs - Required
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel - Required
Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction - Required
Ability to set priorities - Required
Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence - Required
Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner - Required
