
Land Surveyor

We’re looking for a Land Surveyor to join our transportation department. This is a great opportunity to work on transportation-focused survey projects with the latest Trimble equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform both field (one-person crew) and office survey tasks
Use Trimble SX10/SX12 total stations, R980/R12i GNSS, and TSC5/TSC7 data collectors
Process data, create deliverables, and collaborate with teams across multiple offices
Support transportation projects for WisDOT and local governments
Qualifications
Required
Associate’s degree in Land Surveying or a related field
Experience working with robotic and GPS field survey equipment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Computer literacy, including use of relevant communication software
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Strong math and analytical skills
Valid driver’s license, ability to travel, including overnight, if needed
Authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
Preferred
Professional Land Surveying (PLS) License or ability to obtain in the future
Certified Survey Technician (CST) Level 1 or higher
AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience
Trimble Business Center experience
Understanding of the WisDOT transportation design process
Experience with WisDOT fieldwork and deliverable creation
Physical Requirements
Walking five (5) miles or more in a day on a construction project site on uneven terrain
Excessive standing
Lifting or carrying a minimum of 50 lbs.
Pushing and pulling equipment
Use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse
Working Conditions
On project sites, in field offices, or in company office
Frequently outdoors, year-round in various weather conditions
Travel throughout Wisconsin Southeast region
Occasional travel with overnight stays
