Technician - Installation Lead

You’ll be hands‑on

and

leading from the front:

Install emergency equipment:

lights, sirens, radios, partitions, push bumpers, storage systems

Perform

advanced electrical wiring and system integration

(12VDC / 110VAC)

Read and work from

schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints

Tear down and rebuild vehicles with precision—no shortcuts, no damage

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues like a pro

Keep projects moving— own timelines, workflow, and quality

Train and support other technicians—set the standard on the floor

Ensure every build meets

safety, quality, and manufacturer specs

Keep your workspace clean, organized, and efficient

What You Bring

2+ years in

emergency equipment installation, automotive electrical, or similar work

Strong knowledge of

12VDC / 110VAC systems and low‑voltage wiring

Skilled in

soldering, crimping, and using diagnostic tools

Ability to read and interpret

schematics and technical manuals

Experience stepping up to

lead, guide, or train others

High attention to detail—you don’t let things slide

Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt on the fly

In accordance with Minnesota law, the hourly range for this position is $31.53 – $47.07 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and overall qualifications.

This role is also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and more.

ADA Requirements:

Bend, squat, climb, grasp, twist, reach, lift or otherwise move frequently for extended periods.

Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs frequently, or more occasionally.

Walk, stand or otherwise move about continuously.

Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer.

Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards including chemicals which may require respiratory protection.
