Senior Accountant – Iselin, New Jersey
Senior Accountant position based in Iselin, New Jersey will be primarily responsible for assisting with month end and quarter end close duties, completing ad‑hoc financial close projects, and working with various employees across many departments to maintain accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
Perform revenue close procedures including revenue and deferred revenue journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis
Prepare month‑end expense accruals and maintain a detailed schedule of accrued expenses to ensure expenses are recognized in the correct periods
Collaborate with the finance team to assist in preparing monthly financial packages and other management reports
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis
Complete assigned month and quarter end close journal entries and tasks
Assist in preparing budgets and reforecasts
Support external auditor requests
Identify areas for improvement and update internal policies and process documentation
Perform ad‑hoc analysis and special projects as required
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a complex accounting environment
Expert‑level Excel skills, including extensive experience with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas
Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
