Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSOCIATE to provide a variety of specialized and responsible clerical and technical services in support of division operations, including but not limited to responsibilities for administratively supporting compensation, benefits, employment, handling personnel forms and confidential information. The role may maintain records on sick leave, vacation, and other absences, compile statistics for management, handle paper flow for periodic reviews, conduct new employee orientation, perform front‑line review of employment applications, generate ACT documents, manage employee databases, and generate reports. The position supports the departmental goal of providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide a variety of specialized and responsible clerical and technical services in support of division operations, including compensation, benefits, employment, handling personnel forms and confidential information.

Maintain records on sick leave, vacation, and other absences; compile statistics for management; handle paper flow for periodic reviews.

Handle all personnel‑related inquiries.

Conduct new employee orientation, perform front‑line review of employment applications, generate ACT documents, manage employee databases, and generate reports.

Maintain and support departmental goal of providing excellent customer service to all.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly Rate: $16.50 - $26.80

Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
