Overview
The Sort Center Learning Trainer collaborates with Operations Managers, Area Managers, Process Assistants, and Associates to continuously enhance the long‑term capabilities of assigned areas. The role involves measuring production quality and quantity, applying learning tools to improve performance, maintaining expert knowledge in at least two production departments, evaluating and improving processes, refining learning methods and techniques across the Sort Center, and supporting the development of associate job-related skills.
Key Job Responsibilities
Comfortable speaking in front of a group and in one‑on‑one settings.
Effectively give and receive feedback.
Use visual aids and recognize when a group or individual needs additional attention.
Consistently meet time commitments and deadlines, maintaining a goal‑oriented mindset.
Check and test for understanding.
Provide insight to area managers.
Work hard for the success of others and remain “customer obsessed.”
Demonstrate a positive “can do” demeanor, enjoy working with others, and derive energy from collaboration.
Act as an active listener.
Consistently perform at 100% of expectations.
Understand upstream and downstream variances.
Expand knowledge using available resources and answer challenging questions.
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, shift, or work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts of up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
Availability to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior training, teaching, or presentation experience.
Willingness to work different shifts and in different areas as required by training needs.
Shift hours may differ from standard production shifts.
Excellent attendance record.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple and changing projects or priorities.
Willingness to participate in and support Operational Excellence initiatives.
