Systems Support Specialist

Schedule/Calendar:

7.5 hrs./day 37.5 hrs./week 261 days/years
Summary:

Provides technical support and training for all aspects of the district's database applications. Develops processes and procedures for managing database applications. Performs accurate analysis, preparation, integrations, and reporting of district applications. Provides guidance, instruction, and leadership to members of the Administrative Technology staff to support and maintain district applications.
Essential Functions

Provides professional and proficient technical support to district staff and administration on the use of district software applications.
Provides cross-training and knowledge sharing to ensure continuity with district data management practices.
Provides training to district administrators and staff to develop the knowledge and expertise in the effective use of the district applications.
Reviews and assists with account maintenance, communication, and troubleshooting of database and software systems, including the student and financial information systems.
Creates and maintains documentation on processes and procedures related to system functionality.
Stays current in new and emerging technologies, especially related to knowledge of database systems, district software applications, and instructional technology used to support digital learning in the district.
Stays current in state and federal reporting guidelines as they relate to data integrity.
Supports the Coordinator of Administrative Technology with SQL scripting, report writing, database restores, and maintenance as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Administrative Technology and the Director of Technology.
Education and/or Certification Required

Associate's Degree in an appropriate field or related experience.
Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field preferred.
Experience Needed

5 plus years of experience with Student and Financial Information systems in K-12 preferred. Infinite Campus experience preferred.
5 plus years of broad technical experience with data management and reporting tools such as Cognos, Google Sheets/Excel, and SQL is preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Google G Suite or Microsoft Office applications required.
Knowledge (of)

School district software applications, including the student and financial information system.
SQL scripting

Physical Requirements
