Structures & Payload Design Engineers (Associate or Mid‑Level)
Location:
Everett or Renton, WA
Team:
Seats Integration Team (SIT) within Payloads Organization, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
Position Responsibilities
Develops, integrates, and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish overall system design.
Creates, maintains, and updates structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3‑D CAD tools and other design methods to provide product definition to engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and customers.
Performs and integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Manages supplier development, test, and production activities; coordinate with suppliers to optimize designs and achieve program goals.
Develops and improves design/analysis processes and tools to increase effectiveness, quality, and efficiency.
Investigates emerging technologies to propose concepts for future product designs that meet projected requirements.
Prepares and reviews technical data, engineering releases, and compliance summary reports supporting installation and certification.
Works under general direction and collaborates across multi‑discipline teams to deliver on program objectives.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent industry experience.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent industry experience.
Familiarity with payloads engineering releases and configuration management processes.
Experience with CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, DCCS, and REDARS.
Experience reviewing technical documentation and authoring technical deliverables.
Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to collaborate across teams.

Pay
Summary pay range Associate (Level 2): $96,300 - $117,700
Summary pay range Experienced (Level 3): $117,900 - $144,100
