Job Summary
The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and treatment of patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician, in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice.

Essential Functions
Provide outpatient medical consultation services under physician supervision
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions for new and established patients
Conduct follow-up care and ongoing patient management
Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications and initiate specialty referrals as appropriate
Participate in rotating on-call coverage for after-hours emergency phone calls
Administer and order medications and treatments
Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Perform comprehensive patient physicals and preventive care services
Provide patient and family education regarding conditions and treatment plans
Supervise and coordinate patient care support staff within the clinic
Perform additional duties as assigned in accordance with the Nurse Protocol Agreement
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Urgent Care (required)
Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies (required)
Current Georgia licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant (required)
Current board certification (AANP or ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs) (required)
DEA registration or eligibility to obtain (preferred)
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting
