JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for distribution, intake and cleaning of costumes. Provide exemplary service to our internal guests. Assist with all aspects of costuming to include daily operations, parades, shows, meet and greets, events and any productions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide exemplary service while distributing costumes to performers daily. Complete costume presets for next day offerings. Ensuring that all costume pieces are present and show ready for the performer. Deliver and pick up any costumes from venues, events etc. Track all costumes going in and going out using the inventory tracking system (Invotech). Tag any costumes for repair. Notify leads/leadership of any costumes that need repaired or any missing costume pieces.
Clean and maintain all costume pieces through hand washing, machine washing, and spot cleaning, which includes character head cleaning. Prepare costumes to be scanned and sent out to Dry Cleaning and/or B2 Laundry Services. Fold, iron (when needed), put away all costume pieces that come from laundry.
Quality control all costume pieces between serving the Guests. Quality check all assigned lines to ensure costumes and costume pieces meet a high standard of quality. Note any missing items, missing buttons, rips, stains etc. Partner with the inventory team with any inventory short falls.
Maintain a clean and clutter free environment. Dust and vacuum daily to ensure areas are free of debris. Empty trash bins and pick up items off the floor to avoid any slips and falls. Organize all shelves and storage spaces to avoid loss, and to present a professional image to our guests and partners.
Accurate completion of daily paperwork, including DSR, repairs, missing items, cleaning logs etc.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
1 year experience with basis costume knowledge and repair.
