RN - Nurse Residency ***Exciting Opportunity for NEW GRADS***
The Nurse Residency Program at
Deborah Heart and Lung Center
is designed to provide critical support during the transition from academia to clinical practice. Newly graduated and licensed registered nurses will gain the knowledge, skills and professional behaviors to deliver safe, quality care using evidence-based standards and best practice criteria.
The program will offer nurse residents training, competency and professional development, as well as, support for the critical transition from student nurse to clinical practice. Through supportive mentoring, coaching and learning, nurse residents will develop clinical and leadership skills and be cultivated into nurse professionals who deliver high-quality patient care.
Positions available on Medical Surgical, Telemetry, OR
Program Requirements:
Current New Jersey RN license
Graduate of accredited diploma, associate degree or baccalaureate degree nursing program within the last 12 months.
Non-BSN’s must complete a BSN degree within 5 years’ of hire
GPA > 3.4
Letter of recommendation from a school instructor
Commitment:
1 year commitment after the first year of residency
Other Required Skills:
Heartsaver CPR certification within 3 months of hire; ability to work well with others, conscientious, organized and reliable.
Schedule:
Bi-Weekly Hours: 72 hours per pay period / various shifts
Compensation:
The minimum starting rate for this position is $42.70. When determining a team members base rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of recent relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
Benefits:
Healthcare coverage for team members in regularly budgeted positions of at least 30 hours per week.
