Assistant/Junior Varsity Dance Coach

Aitkin High School is searching for a High School Assistant JV Dance Team coach for the 2026-27 school year. The position will work with the head coach to oversee the different levels of the girls' dance activities district wide and support the development of the overall dance program. This position will serve the students in our Middle/Senior High School (Grades 7-12). The Junior Varsity coaching position will start in late October and runs to the end of the season in Mid February. The practice schedule is set for 2-3 hours/day (Approximately 3:30 - 6:00 PM) depending on the different winter sports teams and needs for the existing facilities. Responsibilities
Supporting the Head Dance Team coach with the different levels of dance team activities within the district.
Promoting and developing programs that build relationships with other high school programs and encourage involvement with school activities.
To provide a positive image of our school at activities in the Aitkin school district.
Aiding in setting up camps and learning opportunities for the different levels of participants.
To teach all participants to function as individuals and to contribute to the accomplishments of a group or team.
Focus on promoting leadership in the program and community.
To teach all participants the skills needed for the various dance competitions.
