Our client, an energy research and technology organization, is seeking a Field & Laboratory Technician to join their team.
As a Field & Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Operations team supporting laboratory testing, field construction, and pipeline‑related projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on technical ability, a safety‑first mindset, and strong organizational skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Field & Laboratory Technician
Location:
Chicagoland Area (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Pay Range:
$24 to $29/hr
What’s the Job?
Support laboratory testing programs, including setup, monitoring, and teardown
Assist with field activities such as pipeline installation, repair, purging, and system preparation
Maintain and organize laboratory spaces, tools, and test equipment
Serve as safety support, ensuring PPE use and adherence to safety procedures
Operate equipment (including forklifts) and support material handling across multiple projects
What’s Needed?
Experience with field construction practices and pipeline systems
Strong understanding of safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
Hands‑on technical skills with tools, equipment maintenance, and lab/field work
Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift up to 70 lbs
High school diploma with 2–5+ years of experience, or associate’s degree with 1–3+ years of experience
