Position Overview
The Psychometrist plays a key role in supporting psychological and neuropsychological assessments by administering standardized tests, accurately scoring and documenting results, and creating a professional and supportive testing experience for patients of all ages. This role works closely with licensed clinicians and contributes to clinical accuracy, operational efficiency, and quality improvement.
Full time, in person position based in Plymouth, MA .
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Testing Administration
Administer standardized psychological and neuropsychological tests for pediatric and adult patients
Create a calm and supportive testing environment to optimize patient performance
Respond appropriately to patient behavioral and emotional needs during testing
Scoring and Documentation
Accurately score, format, and organize testing results following standardized procedures
Document behavioral observations and testing notes in a timely and detailed manner
Maintain accurate and confidential patient testing records
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Administrative and Operational Support
Prepare and organize testing materials and assessment batteries
Support data entry and patient file management in the EHR system
Participate in team meetings, trainings, and administrative projects
Quality Assurance and Clinical Support
Follow standardized testing protocols to ensure reliable and valid results
Collaborate with licensed clinicians to support assessment flow and clinical decision making
Engage in ongoing training to improve testing accuracy and clinical skills
Contribute to quality improvement efforts
Training and Clinic Support
Assist with onboarding and training new psychometrists as needed
Maintain clean, organized, and professional testing spaces
Monitor, restock, and manage testing inventory
Required Skills and Competencies
Communication and Organization
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Effective time management and organizational skills
Technical Proficiency
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and EHR systems
Comfortable learning new systems and adapting to workflow changes
Professionalism and Teamwork
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
Ability to work with diverse populations across the lifespan
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in psychological, neuropsychological, or related clinical settings
Experience with neuropsychological assessments preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
