
Licensed Mental Health Counselor

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor provides counseling and behavioral health support to children, adolescents, and adults with cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders. This role focuses on delivering individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, supporting crisis intervention, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and family counseling sessions across diverse populations
Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
Conduct ongoing patient assessments and behavioral evaluations
Deliver crisis intervention and case management support
Coordinate referrals and connect clients with community resources
Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling services
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare providers and educators
Support person-centered planning and behavioral health strategies
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
Build therapeutic relationships to support emotional wellness and treatment outcomes
Assist with program coordination and administrative support as needed
Required Qualifications
Active LMHC or LCSW license (mandatory)
Experience working in ABA-supported environments
Experience with children, adolescents, and adults with developmental and behavioral health needs
Strong skills in treatment planning, assessments, and counseling
Excellent communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills
Ability to coordinate with families, providers, and external community resources
Culturally competent and patient-focused approach
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with telehealth counseling platforms
Background in educational or developmental settings
Experience in family support services or disability programs
Certifications
LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
