Vaco is hiring a Production Team Lead
Location:
Oakland Park, FL
Compensation:
$21-$26/hour
Purpose
Functional production lead who directs day-to-day activities of manufacturing and assembly personnel, within a designated area, and ensures activities are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner. Position does NOT have direct hiring/firing/disciplinary responsibilities.
Deliverable & Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day direction of production team and handle questions, concerns or issues regarding manufacturing as related to daily activities
Monitor and direct production activities to ensure customer, quality and team output performance requirements are met
Assist with Material Management
Lead efforts to ensure Bill of Materials/Operations/Batch Quantities are validated
Assist with coordination of cycle/physical counts as required
Provide area training to production personnel
Maintain production supplies inventory
Ensure cleanliness and safety of area/facility, and assist in general maintenance of plant equipment
Assist with implementation and monitoring of methods, procedures, policies and projects to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Review and retain production documents and reports
Perform other duties as may be required
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
4+ years’ experience in roles of increasing responsibility in a manufacturing or distribution environment
2+ years’ experience in working in an ERP/MRP production environment
Experience in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement a plus
Computer skills; email and general business software (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Demonstrated Leadership skills
Basic to Intermediate Math and Reading Comprehension skills
Demonstrated Communication (oral and written) & Interpersonal skills
Effective Planning and Organizational skills
