Production Planner

The Production Planner is responsible for translating customer requirements and forecasts into precise, executable manufacturing plans that ensure on‑time production and delivery. Working cross‑functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales, this role ensures material readiness, schedule accuracy, and streamlined workflow across all stages of the electronics assembly process. The Manufacturing Planner is a key contributor to inventory optimization, schedule management, customer communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop, update, and maintain detailed manufacturing plans based on customer orders and forecasts.

Align production schedules with capacity constraints, delivery commitments, and overall operational goals.

Ensure material, component, and tooling availability to fully support production schedules.

Optimize inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.

Maintain and analyze product forecasts for long‑term inventory planning.

Partner closely with Engineering, Production, Quality Control, and Purchasing to address production challenges, review design updates, and maintain workflow efficiency.

Participate in engineering design reviews to assess manufacturing impact, cost implications, and inventory needs.

Monitor production progress, identify schedule risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain on‑time delivery.

Prepare regular reports on delivery performance, schedule adherence, and order status metrics.

Maintain clear, proactive communication with Sales regarding status updates, inquiries, and potential constraints.

Support customer discussions related to scheduling, material availability, and production considerations.

What You Must Have

5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or related manufacturing operations.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technical field (preferred).

Strong understanding of electrical and electronic manufacturing processes and assembly workflows.

Ability to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and recommend effective corrective actions.

Proven communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.

High accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing production plans, schedules, and material requirements.

Expert‑level proficiency in SAP planning systems.

Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
