About the Opportunity
Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology and robotics, is looking for a skilled
Technical Program Manager - Autonomy
to join their team for a 6-month engagement. This project involves supporting the Autonomy team in delivering critical improvements across core functions like Perception, Prediction & Behavioral ML, Planning & Controls, and Mapping. This is a high-impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
Partnering with engineering managers and functional leads to translate high-level project goals into actionable roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
Driving execution of complex, cross‑functional initiatives independently, focusing on improving autonomous driving behavior.
Proactively identifying program risks and building mitigation plans with cross‑functional teams.
Standardizing autonomy frameworks and automating program processes to enhance efficiency.
Driving Autonomy software and Mapping content releases by partnering with engineering and cross‑functional teams.
Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
6+ years of program management experience, with a focus on software development.
Deep expertise in leading complex, cross‑functional projects independently. This isn’t a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
Experience in AI/ML, autonomous vehicles, robotics, or automotive/aerospace processes is highly desired.
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to create executive‑facing status updates.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, JIRA, Smartsheet, risk matrix).
