Job Description
Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Field Technician to join our team.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Field Technician to support IT operations across casino and hospitality environments. This role is responsible for support, field services, and maintaining critical gaming and hotel systems, with a strong focus on platforms such as Aristocrat Technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 3 / 4 onsite and remote support for casino, hotel, and POS systems
Support and troubleshoot gaming systems with emphasis on Aristocrat platforms, with additional support for IGT and similar systems
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software including gaming terminals, workstations, POS devices, and peripherals
Perform network troubleshooting (connectivity, switches, routers, cabling) using tools such as PuTTY and cable testers
Support PMS and POS systems (e.g., Opera, Micros Symphony, InfoGenesis)
Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti)
Execute system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance across Windows environments
Assist with integrations between gaming systems, POS, and hotel platforms
Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and issue resolution
Travel between properties to support multi-site operations as needed
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of IT support experience, preferably in casino, gaming, or hospitality environments
Hands-on experience supporting gaming systems, particularly Aristocrat platforms; exposure to IGT or similar systems is a plus
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Office 365
Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, switching, basic routing)
Familiarity with POS and PMS systems in hospitality environments
Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Ivanti
Ability to manage high-priority incidents in fast-paced, customer-facing environments
Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting multi-property casino environments
Exposure to VMware or virtualized infrastructure
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements:
Must be 21+ and able to obtain/maintain a gaming license
Availability for all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations
Ability to lift and install IT hardware as needed
