Job Responsibilities
This position is responsible for operating a wide variety of assigned equipment utilized in the construction, repair, and maintenance of county infrastructure.
Major duties include, but are not limited to: operating assigned equipment to accomplish planned or emergency Public Works construction, repair, and maintenance projects; operating a variety of motorized equipment including, but not limited to, motor grader, back hoe, bulldozer, dump truck, excavator, and mowers; performing pre‑trip inspections to assigned equipment or vehicle; checking brakes, lights, belts, hoses, fluid levels, air pressure, etc.; reporting equipment or vehicle service, maintenance or repair needs to immediate supervisor; and reading and interpreting work orders.
