Role: Mainframe Vantage Programmer
Location: Addison, TX (Hybrid - 3 days a week)
Type of Employment: Contract to Hire
Note: This is a hybrid position so onsite minimum 3 days a week (Tues/Wed/Thurs) & we need resources only who can firmly confirm joining as CTH.
For this position, requirement is product development experience on Index Universal life products on Vantage. Could you please help filter based on this criteria.
Role Responsibilities:
Development of life insurance products on mainframe vantage applications.
Study design, development and support of mission critical business applications using formal software engineering and project management methodologies.
Perform System and Requirement Analysis, identifying strategies for application design for life Insurance products development on Mainframe Vantage.
Performing Design and writing technical design documents, test plans and system interface documents.
Technical activities include developing code in (COBOL, VSAM, JCL, DB2, Web Services CICS) technologies and testing based on the requirements which were obtained from the clients upon the product/system enhancement.
Perform code and design reviews to ensure that the deliverables adhere to the project guidelines and specifications.
Providing SIT and UAT support and production roll outs.
To involve in technical design review for new life/Annuity Product development and enhancements and provide inputs.
Perform architect design for system enhancements and application design on Vantage and Interfacing Applications.
Coordinating with an offshore team on a daily basis and helping understand the business requirements and solutions.
To work extensively at Offshore/Onsite and familiar with onsite - offshore model
Required Skills:
Experience with COBOL, VSAM, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF , DB2, CICS Web Services and other Mainframe tools
Experience with life product development (universal life, Indexed Universal Life products) on Vantage Mainframe.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years as a Mainframe Vantage Programmer on life or annuity product development
5+ years COBOL, VSAM, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF , DB2, CICS Web Services and other Mainframe tools
Life Insurance product development (universal life, Indexed Universal Life products) on Vantage Mainframe.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mainframe Vantage Programmer on life or annuity product development
