Position: Mainframe Developer
Location: Alpharetta,GA
Experience: 7+ years
Employment Type: contract
Key Skills:
7+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, and JCL
Strong working knowledge of mainframe tools such as Changeman and File Manager
Experience with performance tuning and query optimization
Good understanding of batch and online processing in a mainframe environment
Nice to Have:
Experience in financial services / banking
Exposure to production support and release management
Responsibilities:
Experience in developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise mainframe applications
Good knowledge of mainframe utilities and tools (such as ISPF, SDSF, Endevor/Changeman)
Experience with performance tuning, batch processing, and job scheduling
Understanding of SDLC, production support, and incident management
Ability to analyze issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions
Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred Education:
Strong hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe technologies including COBOL, DB2, JCL, and performance tuning
Experience in production support, debugging, and working with mainframe tools and batch/online applications
