Overview
We are seeking a hands-on
Cloud Solutions Architect
to design, support, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure for complex web and ecommerce environments. This role will be responsible for cloud architecture, integrations, platform performance, security, automation, and overall reliability across a large multi-site environment.
This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys building scalable solutions, solving complex technical challenges, and working across architecture, DevOps, integrations, and performance in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure to support high-availability web and ecommerce environments
Architect solutions that support multi-site platforms, strong performance, and long-term scalability
Design and manage API integration patterns between websites and third-party business platforms
Support integrations with external systems related to payments, operations, customer management, fulfillment, and related business functions
Implement and improve cloud security, performance, and cost optimization practices
Support load balancing, caching, encryption, web security, and related infrastructure best practices
Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation processes
Support infrastructure-as-code and standardized deployment methods across environments
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, and respond to incidents as needed
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts
Balance standardized architecture with business-specific customization needs
Partner with technical and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
Provide architectural guidance, technical leadership, and best practices to engineering and development teams
Support broader cloud strategy, including cross-training across additional cloud platforms as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or cloud engineering
Strong experience designing and supporting AWS environments at scale
Experience with highly available web or ecommerce platforms
Experience designing and supporting API-first architectures and third-party integrations
Strong understanding of cloud security, performance optimization, scalability, and cost management
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps best practices
Experience with serverless architectures, containerization, and modern cloud deployment patterns
Experience with relational databases and performance-focused cloud data environments
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills
Ability to work across technical and business teams to deliver practical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
AWS certification or equivalent advanced hands-on expertise
Experience with DevOps, security, or cloud platform certifications
Experience supporting WordPress or other high-volume content or ecommerce platforms
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools
Familiarity with CDN, caching, and global performance optimization strategies
Familiarity with secure payment processing and compliance-sensitive environments
Prior experience with Azure or willingness to cross-train in additional cloud platforms
Compensation and Additional Information
Competitive compensation up to 125k DOE
99% remote
