Job Description
Maintain and update the patent docketing system with critical deadlines and case statuses.
Docket new Patent application filings, incoming office actions, correspondence (USPTO, WIPO/Madrid, and Foreign Associate), and related deadlines.
Review and process incoming correspondence from patent offices and external counsel.
Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations for patent filing and prosecution.
Coordinate with attorneys and paralegals to manage filing deadlines effectively.
Generate reports and provide updates on docketed matters as requested by the legal team.
Assist with audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy of records.
Monitor and track patent annuities and renewal deadlines.
Communicate with clients and external stakeholders regarding patent-related inquiries and updates.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Patent Docketing Specialist should have:
4+ YOE in a docketing focused role.
Proficiency in patent docketing systems and legal documentation processes.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing deadlines and records.
Experience working in a legal environment.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of patent filing and prosecution procedures in the United States and internationally.
