Technical Scrum Master
Location : Hybrid in Hartford, CT

Duration : ASAP Start (6+ month contract + extensions)
We are seeking highly technical Scrum Masters with a strong background in software engineering and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for a dynamic onsite role in Hartford, CT.
Former software developer with strong Agile/Scrum mastery, hands-on experience in GCP initiatives, proficiency in Python/Java/Node.js, ability to engage in deep technical discussions, and strong facilitation and communication skills.
NOTE:
This is not a "by-the-book" Agile coach role - we're looking for hands-on technologists who have transitioned into Scrum Master roles and can challenge teams technically, sniff out fluff, and drive delivery on complex technical projects.
What You'll Do:
Serve as a
Technical Scrum Master on GCP-related initiatives , facilitating daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Partner
closely with engineering teams, architects, and product owners to drive technical execution across cloud-native solutions.
Dig deep into technical conversations
- not just manage process, but understand the work (code, architecture, pipelines, environments).
Project Delivery:
We expect you to know when devs are bluffing or blocked, and help remove roadblocks effectively.
Maintain velocity without compromising technical quality or team morale.
Use your coding background to empathize with devs and bridge gaps between business and tech.
Must-Have:
Strong technical background

(Python preferred, but Java, Node.js, etc. also acceptable). Prior experience in hands-on software development before moving into Agile/Scrum roles.
Experience managing
Agile projects with cloud platforms , preferably
Google Cloud Platform
(GCP).
Demonstrated ability to engage in code-level or architecture-level conversations.
Excellent communication , team facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
Nice to Have:
Exposure to infrastructure as code, DevOps pipelines, or data engineering.
Prior experience working with enterprise GCP migrations or architecture modernization.
Certifications (Scrum, GCP) are not required - your experience and technical acumen matter more.
