Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of Oracle databases in support of mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software.
Create and maintain all Oracle databases required for development, testing, and production usage.
Perform capacity planning and performance tuning.
Monitor database performance and implement changes to improve efficiency.
Apply patches and updates to Oracle databases as needed.
Manage database backup and recovery processes using RMAN or other tools.
Implement and maintain database security (create and manage users, roles, privileges).
Conduct database cloning, refreshes, and data migrations.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
Work closely with developers to optimize queries and support application performance.
Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts or Oracle tools.
Maintain documentation related to database systems, configurations, and procedures.
Participate in on-call rotations for production support.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
Proficiency in Oracle Database versions (e.g., 12c, 19c).
Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Understanding of database security practices and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Knowledge of other RDBMS technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server) is a plus.
Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
