Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and executing aircraft modification projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company objectives. This role coordinates cross‑functional teams including engineering, maintenance, supply chain, and quality to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers, providing clear communication, managing risks, and driving issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle. Success in this role requires strong technical understanding of aircraft systems, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated, fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides daily leadership on assigned projects and personnel
Communicates and manages priorities to Technical Operations Leadership to be appropriately actioned
Leads assigned project priority actions to ensure that projects remain on time and on budget
Proactively manages all project roles, identification of resource requirements, definition of project deliverables and delivery of exceptional customer service
Works cooperatively with customers to develop project scope of work documents and project plans
Identifies the technical approach to be used on a given project and manages the system development process
Ensures effective communications and relationships between customers and project team members
Assigns, schedules, trains, reviews and monitors project work to ensure that progress is within expected guidelines and is completed on time and within budget
Works cooperatively with customers to meet training requirements, identify roles and responsibilities for project team members, and creates an appropriate reporting structure for project personnel
Identifies, tracks, monitors and communicates project‑related issues, scope changes, and variances that may arise during the implementation of projects
Facilitates appropriate solutions with the appropriate customer(s)

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
10+ years of experience in the aviation industry
Available to the organization 24/7, as needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Demonstrated experience handling operational, customer and personnel issues
Experienced user of Microsoft Office products
Able to build trust with internal and external customers through a disciplined and responsible approach
Able to effectively motivate personnel within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
College degree or some college coursework
PMP or similar certification
Experience as a liaison with FAA and DoD aviation organizations
Experience managing an AR95-20 compliant organization
Demonstrated successful experience supervising at least 10 employees in an aviation project
Demonstrated experience with accepted industry standards for inspections, audits, assets and performance objectives
Experience using JIRA and/or other project workflow and requirements management tools
Additional Requirements
Ability to travel as required
Security clearance or ability to obtain
Passport or work authorization to work in the US
Working Conditions
7 am – 4 pm; flexible based on business needs
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment
Ability to view computer screens for extended periods, with close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment
Ability to lift and move items up to approximately 10–20 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies)
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to maintain focus and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
Regularly works in office environment and around aircraft hangars
