Position Summary: The Facilities Janitorial/Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and professional environment throughout office and hangar facilities. This role ensures that workspaces, common areas, and restrooms are consistently maintained to high standards of cleanliness, contributing to employee well-being and a positive impression for clients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Services, cleans or supplies restrooms
Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Cleans windows, glass partitions, or mirrors using cleaners, sponges or squeegees
Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
Gathers and empties trash
Mixes water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
Notifies supervisor concerning the need for major repairs or maintenance issues
Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
Sets up, arranges and removes decorations, tables, chairs to prepare facilities for company events and meetings
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to clean all buildings, fixtures and furniture safely and in a timely fashion
Demonstrates ability of maintaining janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
Basic knowledge of modern cleaning equipment and chemicals
Adept at using chemicals in a safe manner
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work effectively individually and with a team
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with janitorial and/or cleaning
Additional Requirements
Passport or work authorization requirement to work in the US
Ability to sit, stand, and/or kneel for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Working Conditions
Monday through Friday 6 am 3 pm, after hours and weekends based on business needs
