
HVAC Service Technician II

Mark III Construction is currently seeking a Journeyman HVAC Technician for the Sacramento and surrounding area. This Journeyman HVAC Technician will be responsible for servicing and installing heating and air conditioning systems to industry standards while providing the customer with a high quality experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers
Install, troubleshoot and repair HVAC units and heat pumps
Troubleshoot malfunctioning HVAC systems to determine the cause of the malfunction
Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and adjust, clean and calibrate various systems to assure proper system operation
Repair wiring and electronic components associated with automated building management systems
Replace expansion valves, compressors, motors, coil units and other component parts
Check distribution systems for proper velocity, volume, temperature, pressure, etc.
Determine the cause of, and correct, condensation problems
Prepare records and reports describing procedures, actions taken and recommended solutions
Prepare and submit requests for supplies and equipment
Complete all paperwork in a timely manner including invoices, quote requests and weekly timesheets
Respond to emergency service requests
Willingness to travel and work overtime, when necessary
Follow all pertinent rules and regulations, guidelines, safety orders, departmental operating procedures and safety regulations to ensure that work is performed in compliance with applicable law
Maintain all company tools, equipment, and company vehicle
Perform Startups

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Trade school education a plus
Five (5) or more years of experience working with a variety of HVAC systems and equipment including package units, boxcar units, split systems, and VAV systems
Refrigeration, boiler, and chiller experience a plus, though not necessary
Computer literate with the ability to navigate software programs via a tablet or smartphone
Start Up Experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Industry certification (e.g. UTI, NATE)
EPA certification
Possession of a valid CA driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for the previous three years
Physical Demands of posted job:
Required to lift objects weighing up to 25lbs
Required walking for long and short distances, walking from one worksite to another
Required to perform repetitive motion tasks
Required to pull or push using force
Required to stand for sustained periods of time
Required to bend or twist at the neck and torso
Required to crouching, squatting, stooping, kneeling
Required to use and climb ladders to work from heights
Required to use scissor, boom, and other personnel lifts to access the work area
Required to reach above head
Required to reach forward, grab, grasp, pinching, handle material and tools using upper extremities
Required to lift objects from low to high positions in horizontal to vertical motions
Required to talk, express, or exchange detailed, important information by means of verbal communication
Constantly Required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds to avoid hazards
Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
